Artist

Colin is a full time artist and a professional associate of the SAA (www.saa.co.uk), which is an organisation for all artists from beginners to professionals.  He turned professional after taking early retirement from the NHS during 2013. Colin runs classes and workshops; also demonstrations for art clubs around East Anglia.  

 

He paints mainly with pastel and watercolour, including mixed media:  His subject matter includes landscape/townscape and coastal scenes.  Colin also has an interest in portraiture. He has drawn and painted since childhood. Over the years Colin has attended courses and workshops by several different artists around the UK, to develop his painting skills; adopting an impressionistic approach to watercolour painting, which he finds liberating; although taking a more detailed approach as the fancy takes him.
